I think most problems stems from use of Explorer. I highly recommend Google chrome.

Only prob with Google is they profile everything you do online. They can prob tell you what time you went to bed, what time you woke up and what you had for dinner last night. I use Firefox startpage and tor.

Tor https://www.torproject.org/

Startpage https://startpage.com/

Firefox http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

I also am running Ubuntu (Linux) http://www.ubuntu.com/ for my OS on my laptop and Debian (Linux) http://www.debian.org/ as my OS on my desktop. I greatly prefer Debian but Ubuntu runs better on my Dell Laptop.

I have used Google Chrome in the past and it is very user friendly with some great features.

I have been out for about 4 days. Every time I pull up the forum there is no board index to even view the two discussion boards. Tried to login and nothing happened. a few days later everything is back up...

Using IE

Also, as others have mentioned, it seems to crash quite often. One more thing that is slightly annoying is that when you are typing and the ads refresh, your key strokes do not get recorded. I seem to end up with words that have two or three letters missing in the middle of them. Not a huge deal, but I make sure to go back over and review my post before I submit to make sure everything is there (good idea anyways).

You see ads when you are logged in?
Your problem is related to Internet Explorer or you have virus. I had exactly the same problem with IE. What is going on your computer is working hard in the background and that is why you can not type. Your computer is trying to connect to nonexistend website over and over and over or is trying to download something over and over. Eventually computer freezes or crashes. But eventually had to take the machine in and erase everything and start all over again. I have Carbonite service thus recover all the files was easy. But First I would try Google chrome or Fire fox. IE sucks!

Yeah, I see the ads both when I am logged in and when logged out. I couldn't log in/view content both at home on my desktop and tablet nor at work. Now everything is fine on all machines.
